Best Bark Collar For Small Dogs: Which is the Best Bark Collar For Small Dogs? Small dogs can be very hard to train. They are very much like young children and it takes a while to build up the necessary trust between pet and owner. You will usually need to try many training methods before you find one that works for you. If you keep on trying various methods and techniques, eventually you will be able to train your pet better.

Best bark collar for small dogs: One of the training methods that has worked well for me is using an Ultrasonic Beep Collar Training Your dog not to bark can take sometime. With an Ultrasonic Beep Collar, all you need to do is set it off and your pooch, after a couple of moments, will let out a high pitched sound similar to a high-pitched squeal when the collar is triggered. Its high pitched sound triggers from the neck vibrations which seem to appear when your dog is barking too loudly.

First, set the collar to a low setting: Next, attach the ultrasonic beep collar to the dog’s neck and have the device attached to you as well. Make sure the collar is firmly latched onto the dog’s neck. After setting up the anti-barking device, place the pet weight at the bottom of the hanging collar.

The biggest cons of this anti-barking device are: It targets the vibration in your dog’s neck instead of his vocal cords. This causes the vibrations to be very strong and it can possibly damage the delicate tissues of the throat. The ultrasonic sound waves can also cause temporary hearing damage. Also, this collar is not adjustable so your pet cannot grow to its maximum potential. The collar works best for dogs weighing four to eight pounds.

One great collar that has been getting great reviews is the citronella dog collar: This collar uses citronella oil, which is placed in a little cartridge that is easily stored in your pocket. Each time your dog barks, the oil is squeezed and then released. This is perfect for small dogs who bark throughout the day. There are three different correction modes available. You can use the mode that works best for your pet.

You can set the collar to shock your dog for different levels of “bad behavior”: You can adjust the shock level so your dog knows ahead of time that they are in the wrong. Most collars also come with different levels of correction.

I recommend getting a collar that offers adjustable correction so your pet is rewarded for good behavior.
