Have you ever seen someone wearing a dog tag? If you haven’t then you are lucky as I will tell you how to put one on your collar. You can make your own dog tags using a variety of materials like leather, metal, plastic or wood. But, I am going to show you an easy way to make a simple dog tag.

Materials Required:

  • Scissors
  • A pair of gloves
  • An old or new shirt
  • A piece of leather
  • A pen
  • A needle
  • A thread
  • A small amount of glue
  • A button
  • A tag
  • A hole punch
  • A piece of paper

Steps:

Take the old shirt and cut it in the size that you want your dog tag to be. Cut the tag out from the paper and punch the hole at the middle. Glue the tag to the shirt. Use the scissors to cut the leather into small pieces. Attach the tag to the collar. Apply glue on the back of the leather and press the tag with the help of the pen. Use the needle to sew the tag on the collar. Punch a hole on the front of the collar. Attach the button to the back of the collar.
