Feeding your dog is a big responsibility and it is your duty to take care of your pet and make sure that it is well fed. You need to feed your dog at least three times a day. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, then you need to feed it more frequently. It will help your dog to digest its food properly.

There are many types of dry and wet food available in the market but which one will be best for your dog?

The answer is not easy, there are so many factors that you need to consider while choosing the right food for your dog:

  • You need to know the proper weight of your dog, so that you can choose the right food for your dog.
  • You need to know how much your dog eats per day, if it is too less or too much.
  • You need to know about the ingredients used in the food, as some of them may cause some allergies in your dog.
  • You need to know about the quality of the food and how long it will stay fresh in the refrigerator.

I am going to share some tips that will help you to find out the right food for your dog:

1. Types of food for your dog:

If you are planning to get a pure breed dog, then it is better to feed it dry food because it will provide them with the required nutrients. If your dog has a sensitive stomach then you need to feed it wet food twice a day.

2. Dry food:

This type of food is easy to digest and it is best for dogs which are fed on raw meat. The main ingredients are chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish. It is not suitable for puppies.

3. Wet food:

It is made up of vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, eggs, etc. This type of food is good for puppies, old dogs and dogs with sensitive stomachs.

Dogs need to be fed twice a day, morning and evening. You need to feed them in the morning before they go out for their walk and in the evening after they come back home.

Conclusion:

I hope this article will help you to know about the different types of food that are available in the market. I have also shared some tips with you about how much wet food should you feed your dog.
